Warm Molten-Centered Chocolate Cupcakes

Warm Molten-Centered Chocolate Cupcakes

Well, I am going to be honest and say that they didn't actually taste that great!
I'm beginning to think that there is something wrong with my recipe book because all of the cupcakes seem to have the same dry-flour like texture and taste. I'm thinking more sugar and some water is in order to amend this reoccurring tragedy. Other than the taste and the fact that the batter was like paste (haha), they came together smoothly and whatnot. I will say though, that the recipe also said that the batter would make eight cupcakes, but there was barely enough batter for four! Despite these faults, everything went as it should. Who am I to complain when I have a cupcake that isn't burned and looks pretty?

Butterfinger Cupcakes

Butterfinger Cupcakes

One word: ridiculous.
These cupcakes were absolutely over the top in every way possible.
To quote a teacher who had a taste "this is nasty..in a good way!".
I made Devil's Food cupcakes to start off. Then I cored each cupcake and filled them with chocolate buttercream frosting. After filling them, I topped them each with white buttercream frosting and added a chocolate fudge glaze to the tops. Before the glaze dried, I sprinkled (or mounded) crushed Butterfinger candy bars on the tops of each.

Sinfully delicious? I think yes ;)

Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes

Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes

Super easy to make! They came together very smoothly, just like they would if you were making brownies instead of cupcakes. They were relatively chewy on the inside and they came apart like a muffin would as opposed to a cupcake. I loved making them!
